“Toke Fiedler Terkildsen (@tokefiedler) named Denmark’s Best Sommelier 2026 – also receives Falstaff Nordics’ (@falstaff.nordics) award as Young Sommelier
On Monday, August 31, 2026, the 24-year-old Toke Fiedler Terkildsen from Restaurant AOC (2 Michelin stars) was named Denmark’s Best Sommelier when the Danish Sommelier Association (DSF) held the Danish Sommelier Championship at Moltkes Palæ in Copenhagen. This year, the competition took on an extra dimension when Falstaff Nordics presented their Sommelier Awards for the first time as part of the day’s program – including the Young Sommelier award, which went to Toke herself, while DSF founder Tim Vollerslev was honored with Falstaff’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
“It was a really good competition this year – it’s always great when they think in terms of tasks that challenge you and show the breadth of the profession. I’m really looking forward to representing Denmark in Iceland. Now I just have to get started again, because it should be even better in a couple of weeks, so there will be a focus on reading and tasting, without a doubt. Last year I was just outside the podium, as number 2 in the Danish Championship and number 4 in the Nordic Championship. This year the goal is to get on stage and show what I can do, together with all the others,” says Toke Fiedler Terkildsen, winner of the Danish Championship in Sommelier 2026, recipient of the Falstaff Nordics’ award as Young Sommelier and representative of Denmark at the Nordic Championship 2026, which will be held in Iceland 19-21 September.”
