A beauty like this transcends time and flesh. You are invoking a spirit ancient and queer. A darkness transcendent and ephemeral capturing the existentialism that is to be alive and awake. You are ancient queer glamour personified.

Sometimes you just need an objective eye and POV to help you see things clearly 👀 thanks @melissagold_ for posing the right questions to help me finally come to the decision to part with this dress 🩵

Editing your wardrobe is not an easy task. The feeling of guilt and the fear of regret are real, even for a professional stylist.

If you’ve been around a while you’ll recall me styling this @destree dress a few times here on IG, but 18 months after purchase in Paris I hadn’t reached for it once in my REAL LIFE.

And there’s a lesson in that too. The denim dress fabric reads ‘edgy’ but the shape and style of it leans very Parisian classic, which is not my style. Influenced by situational shopping? Definitely. Would I have bought this dress at a boutique in Melbourne? Unlikely.

I’m pleased to report the dress has found itself a new home via @herrackaus and I hope the new owner enjoys it for years to come 🩵
