Mikaela just wrapped up an intense two-month rotation on the Reconstructive Plastic Surgery service at Parkland. As the first resident to kick off the year at Parkland, she jumped straight into an exceptionally busy service without missing a beat.
From executing a tremendous number of complex flap procedures to tackling some of our most challenging reconstructive cases, she took on every obstacle head-on. Beyond her tenacity , Mikaela led by example—keeping the team engaged, motivated, and happy through the long days.
