Watching my son continue to turn years of hard work, sacrifice, discipline and belief into moments like these is something I’ll never take for granted.

As his coach, I’m proud of the fighter he continues to become. But as his father, I’m even more proud of the young man carrying it all — the pressure, the expectations, the highs and lows — and still staying focused on the mission.

We’ve dreamed about moments like this. We’ve talked about them. We’ve worked for them. And now we’re living some of them.

Enjoy this one, son. You earned every bit of it.
