♡︎ 𝑫𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒚 & 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡 ♡︎

I’ve been trying to make this post for what feels like forever because I wasn’t ready for this solo to become “last season.” Every time I’ve tried to write this, it’s made me cry. 😭 But with a new season starting Tuesday, I think it’s finally time. 🥹💚

My motto this season was “anything can happen.” And somehow, everything happened. 🥹

“Celebration” 💚

This solo will always hold such a special place in my heart. It was my first contemporary solo, but it became so much more than choreography and music. It became a piece of my life.

This solo pushed me to work harder, keep going when things felt hard, and believe in myself when I doubted what I was capable of. Looking back, I’m so proud of the dancer—and even more so, the person—this solo helped me become. 💚

The awards were never what made this solo special to me, but every single one was so appreciated. Getting Top 5 at both Nationals I attended this season is something I’m incredibly grateful for. But the trophies were never the goal. The growth was. 🥹

To all of my teachers: thank you for every correction, push, encouragement, and little thing you’ve taught me this season. You’ve helped me grow not just as a dancer, but as a person, and I’m so grateful for every single one of you. 💚

And Morgan… thank you for helping bring this piece to life and for being such a special part of my first contemporary solo. I hope you’re loving New York and enjoying this new chapter! I hope I get to see you there one day. 🥹💚

And English… 🥹💚 I honestly don’t think I could ever explain what you mean to me. Thank you for seeing something in me, pushing me, believing in me, and giving me a piece I’ll carry with me for a very long time. You’ve helped me grow so much, not just as a dancer but as a person. I’m so grateful for every correction, challenge, and moment you’ve believed in me. I’m so lucky I get to learn from you. 💚

I wish I could go back and tell the girl who started this solo how much she was going to grow and how much this piece would eventually mean to her. 😭

Some solos are just solos. Some become a part of you.

“Celebration” will always be a part of me. 💚🥹
