it’s one thing to sit in ceremony and another to leap toward what you are shown.
solo traveling to south eastern türkiye to visit göbekli tepe and karahan tepe, both predating the pyramids of giza by ~6000-7000 years, because i told to go in ceremony was quite the adventure.
it was in this journey that i first understood the mysteries of water and how it connects us beyond space and time.
and how the blessings of my ancestors and my grand mother have taken me places they could’ve only read about.
it pushed me to deepen my relationship with the divine, surrender control, and ponder the mysteries of the world more acutely. i mean, faith in something greater seems to be the single thread that humans have in common across cultures all over the world…
so, i’ve been left with this lingering sense that placing my faith in something greater maybe the simplest and most profound practice of all.
maybe you wanna give it a shot too?

song lyrics are the sufi poem, chap tilak sab cheen li, by amir khusrau. while there’s several thoughts on the true meaning of this poem, i love the idea that it is expressing complete surrender and divine love toward the creator.
