Researchers documented an unusual sexual bond between a male donkey and a bull during fieldwork in Ethiopia. The team was in the Ethiopian highlands to study gelada monkeys when they spotted Achille, a bull, and Patroclo, a male donkey, together in a nearby grazing area. Over a number of days, Achille was seen mounting Patroclo. Mounting was documented 51 times, with 34 of the events resulting in intromission. Another male donkey in the pasture flattened its ears and backed away when Achille tried the same thing. Patroclo never did, and appeared to present his hindquarters to the bull. The pair also licked, rubbed and nuzzled each other more than they did other animals, and they spent most of their observed time close together. According to the researchers, it appears to be the first documented case of a sustained same-sex sexual relationship between a bull and a donkey. The observations show animal sexual behavior can be a more complex social phenomenon than we might realize, the team says. Full story at the ๐Ÿ”— in bio โ€” @sciencealert ๐Ÿ“– Source: da Cruz et al. Comment APP for the FULL pelvis โ€œUNTWISTINGโ€ Tutorial to get your ABS ๐Ÿ”ฅ back! Ladies, if youโ€™re ONLY training your abs for that stubborn belly, look a little LOWER. ๐Ÿ‘‡ Your PELVIS is BIG part of the picture. Your abs attach to your pelvis and rib cage. Their position relative to one another influences the length-tension relationships of your abs and the way youโ€™re able to manage intra-abdominal PRESSURE. Plus a bunch of other things. We need to consider the POSITION youโ€™re asking your ABS to work from, as it influences your ability to build STRENGTH. Remember: your core is MORE than just a bunch of muscles. It functions as a coordinated PRESSURE SYSTEM ๐Ÿ”ฅ! Your diaphragm, abs, and pelvic floor work together as you breathe, move, and lift. If youโ€™re navigating: โžก๏ธ A persistent lower belly pooch โžก๏ธ Diastasis โžก๏ธ Difficulty connecting with your abs โžก๏ธ Pelvic floor tightness or weakness โžก๏ธ Butt gripping Your training DESERVES to consider the whole system! #workoutsforwomen #coreexercises #pelvicfloorexercises #postpartumfitness
