Literally 😬
I honestly never imagined I’d be part of a community like this.
Right now, I’m part of the UQ Freestyle community, and one of the things I value most is being able to learn from, connect with and simply watch dancers and athletes from so many different parts of the world.
Different cultures, backgrounds, styles and experiences all coming together in one space. You’ve got Asians, Islanders, Africans, Europeans and people from so many different places — but when the music comes on, none of that really matters. We’re just there to move, learn, create and have fun together.
This was one of our locking jams on Wednesday. Someone randomly put on Michael Jackson, and we just went for it 😂
Moments like this remind me why I love being around people who are passionate about what they do.
You learn so much when you put yourself in environments where you’re surrounded by people who are different from you. ❤️
