Finally got a moment to post a thank you to everyone that helped me out with the launch of my new book! It was a crazy run but everyone was so warm and welcoming. Massive thank you to all the people that came to the conversation nights. To the people that waited for signatures and photos thank you for your patience. Huge thank you to @nic.jeffery @turiapitt @thomasvictorcarroll and @vaughandeadly for hosting the nights and holding space when stories got emotional. Thanks to Jade and K-L from @simonandschuster for all your help. To @lukebenedictus and @vaughandeadly thank you for bringing my story to life. Couldn’t have done it without both. @ronnieblakey_ thank you for organising, proof reading and guiding me through this process. Also a massive thank you to Luke who sat through me stumbling reading the book for the Audio Book. Lastly to the people have read or listened to the book thank you. To the people that have forwarded on messages I appreciate them. I am reading them so they aren’t going unnoticed. Cheers Mick
In the past, there was this thing called ‘the past’. This year’s Halloween costume demanded by @danbanstudio
We miss our Romie boy so much. But watching this video back, the smiles on our faces are just as big as the ache. 15 years is a long life for a dog, especially one his size. He was with us through so many chapters of our lives, but what an honor it was to witness and love him through almost all of the chapters of his. We wish we could have had more time. I think we always would’ve, no matter how many years we were given. But more than anything, we feel so unbelievably grateful. Grateful that he was ours and we were his. Grateful for every ordinary day, that we now realize was anything but ordinary. We are so lucky to know what it feels like to love a dog like Romie. We love you and miss you, our sweet boy 🐻♥️
Amy Acton will be Ohio’s next governor, The Associated Press reported. She defeated Vivek Ramaswamy, the billionaire entrepreneur, becoming the first woman to be elected governor in the state. She is only the second Democrat to win the governor’s office in Ohio in 35 years. It was a remarkable achievement for Dr. Acton, who faced intensely personal attacks from Ramaswamy that focused on her troubled childhood. Her candidacy had initially seemed like a long shot, given Ohio’s longtime Republican leanings and Ramaswamy’s deep pockets. At the link in our bio, read more about Acton’s victory.
