One year ago today, I went into surgery for one of the biggest battles of my life. 💜

My hip was dislocated, tumors were removed, bone was shaved down, and my hip was reconstructed during a six-hour surgery. I spent a month in the hospital and six months recovering.

After 28 surgeries, I know firsthand how overwhelming complex orthopedic care can be for children and their families. That’s why we created Beyond the Brace Children’s Foundation.

This weekend at Beaches Tropicana, we held our first event—a proof of concept and the beginning of something much bigger. Despite unexpected challenges, incredible people showed up, stepped in, and believed in our mission. 💜

Today, we’re officially moving forward as Beyond the Brace Children’s Foundation. Our 501(c)(3) application has been filed, and our mission is simple: help children and families facing the financial burden of life-changing orthopedic care.

We’re proudly partnered with unLIMBited Foundation as our beneficiary, supporting scholarships for families seeking advanced orthopedic and spine care at the Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute.

This isn’t about the setbacks.
It’s about what comes next.
