It is time for my annual crying-about-Anne-Rice video. It was such an honor to hear @christopher.rice.writer, @ericshawquinn, & the phenomenal @lbardugo speak about Anne’s work and her legacy this afternoon at Loyola (thanks to @the.gardendistrictbookshop). Leigh’s words particularly about the importance of creating - or continuing to write and make art and express ourselves authentically, especially in the age of AI, really hit home for me. Creativity can be really isolating and lonely, and many of us are already weird, lonely people. But if Anne had quit writing the vampire chronicles, so many of us would have had very different life trajectories. Anne’s work changed my life, and I’ll be grateful forever to her, and to the writers she inspired. Time to go home and re-read the Devil’s minion chapter of qotd for the thousandth time. And then write. And then never stop writing. 🥀❤️

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — A 24-year-old man is facing the possibility of spending nearly a century behind bars after prosecutors said he repeatedly sold the same car to eight different buyers, then stole it back from each new owner using a spare key he secretly kept. Investigators said the scheme worked the same way every time: he advertised the vehicle online, collected cash, handed over what appeared to be the only key, then tracked the buyer down days later and drove the car away overnight. He would then clean it up, post it for sale again under a different listing and repeat the process with another victim. Police eventually connected the reports after realizing eight different people were all claiming the exact same car had been stolen from them. He allegedly sold one vehicle eight times — and now faces up to 98 years in prison for refusing to let it stay sold. 😭 Follow @dumbpeoplehub for more.
A heartbreaking incident was reported from Mayur Vihar Phase-II in Delhi, where a 9-year-old Class 3 student at Lovely Heritage School d*ed after suddenly collapsing inside her classroom on November 4. According to reports, the girl suddenly collapsed shortly after returning from her physical training period. She was rushed to a private hospital in Pandav Nagar and later shifted to Malik Redix Health Care in Nirman Vihar, where doctors declared her br*ought d*ad. The incident has raised serious questions about the school's emergency response. The girl's family has alleged that timely medical assistance and CPR were not provided. Police have initiated an investigation, while the exact cause of d*ath is yet to be established through a post-mortem examination. A heartbreaking loss of a young life. 💔 #rvcjinsta
