On August 2026, the Federal University of Lafia Medical Students Association, Technical Office on Non-Communicable and Non-Infectious Disease Control, and Help Enhance Lives, Peace Initiative International held a free Hypertension Sensitisation and Diagnosis Outreach at the New Modern Market, Lafia.
The initiative was organised by Ameh Victor, in collaboration with Salihu Hanisah, with the Students’ Union Government Director of Health, Comr. Adams Yakubu, in attendance.
The initiative focused on educating the public about hypertension, its risk factors, signs, prevention and the importance of knowing their health status.
