DIY Y2K (INSPIRED) GEM LEGS 🫒🌀💥
stop being so literal let people have fun ok ty 🫶
🌸 Tools:
☻ Y2K gems of choice
☻ Sheer tights
☻ B7000 glue
☻ Wax paper
☻ Tweezers
☻ Cardboard box
💛 Step 1: Grab some stretchy tights (I sized up to reduce ripping risk)
🧡 Step 2: Cut pieces of cardboard just enough to stretch to the width of your leg (or less) and secure some wax paper around them—or tape them in with double-sided tape!—then carefully insert into each tights leg.
🩷 Step 3: Begin gemming! Dot glue evenly spaced onto your tights, and place gems with tweezers or your fingers. I found doing both the R + L time at the same time made sure everything was evenly spaced and colors flowed.
❤️ Slide 4: Allow to dry 24 hours (or at LEAST overnight) then begin removing the cardboard inserts from each tight leg. The gems should pop off easily.
💜 Slide 5: Pull tights carefully so they’re not inside out, and wear them when you’re ready!
