2026 Leadville 100 - 7:41:14
Training for Leadville was a lot of fun. I got to ride new places, meet new people, and spend a lot of time doing something I love. But it also meant a lot of time away from
@caittyyy and Emma.
My year-to-date numbers tell a little of that story: 136 rides, 233 hours and 38 minutes on the bike, 2,875 miles, and 180,856 feet of climbing. That doesn’t include strength work, bike maintenance, travel, or all the time that goes into getting ready for a race like this.
My original goal was sub-10 on the traditional course. After the course changed because of the Willow Fire, I thought sub-9 might be possible. Somehow, I ended up finishing in 7:41, which was way beyond what I expected.
The race went about as well as I could have hoped, no crashes, mechanicals, or cramps, and I was able to keep things together when my back started hurting late in the race.
I’m especially thankful for Caity, family, and friends. They gave me a ton of support and patience throughout the year, and I know how much time I spent chasing this goal. I couldn’t have done it without them.
And a huge thank you to
@henriksenian at
@ozsuspension for saving me with a last-minute shock rebuild after I blew mine days before coming to Colorado.
I’m proud of the 7:41, but even more grateful for everyone who helped me get here. Thank you!
