Olive the tortie modeling the newest addition to our collection of obscure amp oddities: a Brentwood BR5. This little germanium SS practice amp was made in Canada in the 60s and has a most unique tone. I figured it’d be the standard germanium paired with an 8” speaker thin and bright vibe, but it’s dark and wooly and jazzy and surprisingly complex! Plus it just looks cool as hell AND it fit under the seat in front of me on the flight back from Calgary!
