artslut™

artslut is born. Let’s make neo expressionist pop-art gay again.

I had always liked the idea of a pseudonym. You know, originally I called myself ‘Meh.’ Because of the way I was feeling at the time - like none of this matters. But then I stumbled on a mix that perfectly fused camp, queer, street and art into one: artslut. I used this for my clothing brand and now, it feels like the perfect time to label myself that too. Because at the end of the day, none of this matters. (Turns out the @artslut.clothing was the ultimate foreshadowing)

Ross Compton is gone, artslut unalived him.

Same artist, new identity and zero filter. The work isn’t changing, but the name is getting an upgrade. Update your bookmarks and tag me accordingly. Let’s make some noise.

It’s bolder, it fits the queer-centric vision and honestly, it’s just way more fun. Everything I create from here on out lives under this new banner. Who doesn’t love an alter ego?

So if you’re new here, I’m artslut and I make art that means something. I am going to be F*CKING MASSIVE.
