๐Ÿ–ค We adopted Goober! ๐Ÿ–ค We temp fostered this darling boy for a week over the summer, and as fate would have it, he has come back to usโ€ฆ this time to stay ๐Ÿฅน We had not planned to adopt again, and Goober had left our home to go to a wonderful foster-to-adopt this summer. But we never stopped thinking of him, and when we heard that his family had made the difficult decision to not go forward with adoption, we found ourselves saying โ€œwe will adopt himโ€ without a momentโ€™s hesitation. In many ways he feels like the yin to Toadโ€™s yang, the deepest black dark side of the moon to Toadโ€™s luminous white light, two unique and beautiful halves of the same whole. We learned he was in need of a home again on the anniversary of Toadโ€™s passing, one year to the day, and we knew it was meant to be. ๐ŸŒ•๐ŸŒ–๐ŸŒ—๐ŸŒ˜๐ŸŒ‘ Goober cannot be around other dogs (the scars on his body and his extreme reactivity to other dogs tell a story of pain and fear), so we are concluding our chapter of fostering. We will never forget each sweet soul that came through our doors. They healed our hearts and helped us find the courage to take the leap of faith that made our family whole again. Please join us in welcoming Goober home, he is already so loved ๐Ÿ–ค
Departure look ๐Ÿคโœจ ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฒ Today, Iโ€™m wearing a piece of Myanmarโ€™s heritage, woven with actual lotus fibres blended with cotton. The lotus fibres are delicately extracted by hand from lotus stems, making the material exceptionally labour-intensive and precious. Combined with our traditional Acheik weaving, a textile historically associated with Myanmar royalty, this fabric represents generations of craftsmanship, patience and artistry. To me, it is more than something beautiful to wear. It is a piece of my countryโ€™s heritage, and I am honoured to carry it with me to the universe. @troyesivan's advice? Go make music in your bedroom ๐ŸŽถ โ€œMaking music at home is like the biggest hack of all time. Even if you're not a musician, I think you are. You just don't know it.โ€ The singer shares how he made his new album โ€œSheโ€™s the Bestโ€ in a new creative process. Watch the full video now on Instagram.
