18 days agoDont miss my giant hematoma on my knee when I was 12 and skating everyday..... im 36 now, nothing but riding for me these days. Lol
24 days agoYo! Don’t give up!! My old ass doesn’t even ride a regular board. I’ve got a sector9 cruiser which I call the old man board! I’m turning 40 in Dec… anyways you’re killing it!! Falling and getting hurt is a big part of skateboarding! Obviously that’s not what we want but it’s what makes skateboarders tough as nails!! My longboard I do no tricks lol except old man flair! But I’ll own tf out of wild fast killer narley dangerous hills! It makes me feel like I’m back at pipeline surfing! So remember injuries heal! It’s how you know you’re alive! Keep it up!! And checkout the padded pants for skateboarding that are like football pants! They make falling on your ass so much better!
25 days agoThat PTSD is no joke bro 😢 I can’t do hills anymore it’s scary after hitting a parked car and bashing my head
25 days agoI just started skating at 25 a week ago. This has encouraged me a lot. I always wear my helmet, and yesterday I twisted my knee pretty bad, but I have found taking a really deep breath and shaking my body out before getting on helps me to relax which reduced injury. You’re always going to get a worse injury when you’re tense and scared. Please keep at it, you will look at this a year from now so intensely proud of yourself. I won’t give up and neither should you!
a month agoBiggest advice I have is to skate with friends! Keeps you safer, makes progression more fun, and makes memories that stick longer
