i interviewed heavens to betsy about their unexpected reunion tour & great upcoming archival LP for the guardian ! this was corin tucker’s band before sleater-kinney. we talked about the clarity of youth, transforming through writing, feminist revenge, olympia, and a wild cross-country train trip they took as teenagers to “study” the athens scene. i think the moral of the story is that lying about having a band is a way of manifesting one. heavens to betsy is basically hardcore to me. this was super energizing & meaningful to me to get to work on — some excerpts collected here, the last quote is from the cutting room floor

thank you @modraucous for the 7 & demo !! 🙏
