Darkness

For years, I thought moving forward meant leaving parts of myself behind.

But now I understand.

You were never something I had to leave behind.

You were the beginning.

You were the part of me, that kept going when I didn’t know how.

The part of me that kept creating, even when I had nothing but a dream and a camera in my hands.

Every photograph, Every echoe, Every memory. Every night I thought I wouldn’t make it through. Every step that brought me here.

It all belongs to you too.

So no, I’m not leaving you behind.

I’m taking you with me.

Because without you, I wouldn’t be here.

And wherever I go,

you go with me.

Look at us.

We made it here.

And this view?

It belongs to both of us.
