At the beginning of July, after the wedding for which I had sewn my maxi previous
#closetcoreelodie, I made another one.
✂️This time, I chose a colorful stretch cotton satin that I bought last year.
✂️I went for same short sleeved bodice and 3/4 circle skirt of my previous version but without adding the scallops on the neckline and the flutter sleeves.
✂️This dress was a bit of a revenge on my previous version that I had to sew in automnal colors because it was the theme of the wedding I was attending.
✂️Let me tell you, I was really happy to sew with a fabric with bright colors !
✂️The only thing is that, in this stretch cottin satin, the maxi skirt is a little heavy and more difficult to manage on the stairs than the one on my previous dress, which was poplin fabric.
✂️So, I’m thinking about shortening the dress in a midi version but at the same time, I love that it's a maxi dress, so we'll see !
