'The Urban Farm Project'
Tribe 1/4
The Arcatori 'stilted shepherds': in the bleached plains and ruined meadows, the Arcatori rebuild civilization through wool and vigilance. They raise towers of stilts, wooden or bone, striding above the world to guard their sheep from the changing elements. To them, the flock is divine inheritance; the last living covenant between humankind and sustenance. From their high vantage, they appear as gods of grass and cloud, draped in woollen robes dyed with lichen and ash. The elders claim they can read omens in the movement of their herds, and storms are merely the flock’s shadow passing over the land.
[Architectural Parallel]: vertical urbanism; surveillance ecologies; landscape guardianship.
[Transhuman Principle]: architecture as extension of perception; spatial agency as ritual.
[Interpretation]: their stilts are prosthetic towers; a reciprocal structure between landscape and observer; they don’t dominate nature but heighten their sensory engagement with it.
[Research Methodology]: spatial phenomenology and animist cartography; mapping emotional and perceptual relationships between the elevated body and its ecology.
