8 RESPONDED. 4 SHORTLISTED. 2 BID. NOW THE AIRLINES WANT OUT.
VIPA’s airport project reportedly grew from $200M to $1.2 BILLION.
Four teams made the shortlist, including major global airport operators like VINCI, daa and Vantage. Only two submitted bids—and the Aecon-led team won.
Now airlines are reportedly willing to pay the $40M breakup fee to stop the deal.
So we need answers:
Why did two shortlisted teams walk away?
Why was this team chosen?
How did $200M become $1.2B?
Why are airlines willing to pay $40M to end it?
These are billion-dollar due-diligence questions.
No audits. No increase. No $1.2B deal without answers.
