The partners of billionaires have long been appointed to roles in distributing their spouses’ wealth through philanthropic and political giving. These women, often brilliant in their own right, become trusted confidantes and strategic advisers. But they also find themselves in paradoxical positions, often wishing for the personal privacy of a private citizen while wielding immense power through their wealth and stature. Sources close to OpenAI cofounder Greg Brockman and his wife, Anna, suggest that Anna is no bystander, and is worthy of scrutiny as a significant player herself. “She’s not a silent sidekick to Greg,” says one AI industry insider. “She is a force.” At our link in bio, VF’s @jb.biz introduces AI’s mysterious MAGA mega-doner.
