𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗟𝗘

We’re proud to introduce a new series from Prog Rock Songs: The Prog Chronicle.

A visual journey through the stories, music, ideas and worlds behind some of the most remarkable names in progressive rock.

Across each chapter, we’ll explore an artist or band in depth, their origins, evolution, albums, musicians, artistic vision and the stories that shaped their journey.

And where better to begin than with Nemrud?

𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗜: 𝗡𝗘𝗠𝗥𝗨𝗗

Formed in Istanbul in 2008, Nemrud has built a distinctive progressive rock universe shaped by psychedelic textures, expansive compositions, Anatolian and Middle Eastern influences, mythology and cosmic exploration.

Across four studio albums, 𝙅𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣, 𝙍𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡, 𝙉𝙚𝙢𝙧𝙪𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝙩 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙀𝙣𝙙 𝙊𝙛 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙮, the band has developed a musical journey that moves between ancient history, inner exploration, darkness, transcendence and the human experience.

But Nemrud’s story may not be complete yet.

In the first chapter of The Prog Chronicle, we follow that journey from its beginnings to the present day and look toward what may still lie ahead.
