Black people come in all shapes, sizes, and political affiliations.

While I am neither a Democrat nor a Republican, I'm very happy about both of these individuals becoming the first Black governors of their states.

While I certainly don't believe that either the Democratic or the Republican Party is going to come to truly elevate the entire Black community, I'm very happy when the diversity of Black people is represented across the political spectrum.

Congrats to both Byron Donalds and Keisha Lance Bottoms. This is going to be an interesting four years to watch.
