Scarily believable speculative, dystopian fiction.

Alex works in the city. He has a society girlfriend, Sophie, who's daddy, Julian, is very much a bigwig. Julian does not like Alex and tries to get him out of Sophie's life by any means.

Alex, after being suspended from work for investigating something that Julian would rather he didn't, finds his childhood friend's sister and asks her to help him expose a top-secret plan to use underground bunkers for a select group of people, when AI causes global collapse.

Watch what happens as society crumbled both inside and outside the bunkers. How things are never completely as they seem.

The part that compelled me to read the book in less than 24h was that it's totally believable. I can well see this becoming a reality in the not too distant future. (£20 for two cups of tea is probably not that far away, either!)
