Most of my work with AI is around analytics, sales, marketing and automation, so I rarely get to use it for something genuinely creative.

For the wedding of my dear friends @ilja.kupet and @arhipovasanya , I got a chance to create something.

I’d seen a similar idea online and decided to create my own version. I had barely worked with AI video before, so this was very much an experiment.

When @veera.makarova saw some of the first generations, her reaction was basically: “What the fuck is this shit?” 😂

To be fair, she had a point. Some of them were terrible.

And that became my biggest doubt while making it. I spend so much time around AI that my perception is probably completely distorted. Something can look impressive to me simply because I know what went into creating it — while everyone else just sees a weird AI video.

So when it was time to show this thing to around 100 people at the wedding, I was very nervous.

Then people started laughing. Nats 🐈 became a star. Ilja and Alexandra reacted exactly as you can see below the video.

And only then could I finally relax 😄

It’s definitely not perfect, and I already know what I’d do differently. But I absolutely loved making it.
