Do things that scare you.
Noosa Bolt 5k - only 9x shorter than the distance I’m training for.

Going into this race half my mind was in the “what am I doing thinking I can compete with some of Aussies best middle distance athletes?!” and the other side of my brain was saying “why would you not put yourself in it? What have you got to lose?”

I haven’t raced a 5km on road since I was at high school. This distance scares me even more than a 50km. But that’s exactly why I did it. I wanted to prove to myself that I CAN DO things that terrify me.

I had the best time racing in my hometown streets, with the best atmosphere and insane competition. Stoked to get 6th in this stacked field and run a sub 16.40. And take the new ALPHA FLY 4s for a quick spin.

Now back to the trails.

Thanks for the pics queen 📸👑 @itsjaclee

Well played, @jordan3love & @ronikastone 🤣👏

Comment “THINK” and I’ll send you an in-depth PDF on rewiring a brain that’s stuck in the negative🧠

As a therapist, one of the most common things I hear is: how do I stop being so negative?

Most people asking this question are already exhausted. They’ve tried gratitude lists, affirmations, changing their perspective, focusing on the positive. And when none of it seems to work, they start feeling frustrated with themselves for not being able to think differently.

But there’s a reason our minds tend to focus on the negative.

Our brains are naturally more sensitive to potential threats than positive experiences. It’s a survival mechanism that once helped keep us safe, but it can also shape how we interpret everyday situations, relationships, and even ourselves.

The good news is that these patterns can change, but it takes more than just telling yourself to think positively.

This guide teaches you the five common patterns that keep us stuck in negative thinking and how to work through them by addressing both what’s happening in your mind and how your body responds. ❤️
