Today we celebrate the 35th anniversary of the restoration of Ukraine’s independence.
On August 24, 1991, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the Act of Declaration of Independence, a historic document that restored what had always belonged to us – our independence.
Today, there are no parades, concerts, or festivals. There is only one desire that every Ukrainian carries in their heart – to see a peaceful sky above our heads.
We are deeply grateful to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, thanks to whom we can still be here – volunteering, studying and simply living. We bow our heads to those who defended our country until their last breath. And we thank everyone who continues to stand with Ukraine and honor the fallen.
We are fighting for our freedom, our language, identity and values.
We are Ukrainians. And we always will be.
Слава Україні! Glory to Ukraine! 🇺🇦
