A²MEND

Remembering the past. Building what comes next.

As part of A²MEND’s work in Ghana alongside the @californiacommunitycolleges , Dr. Bush and Joseph Williams @trusteewilliams joined the Accra Convening on Slavery, Memory and Museum Development. A gathering centered on retrospection, healing, repair, and the future of Afro-Diasporic development.

The convening created space for important conversations around how we preserve our history, confront the lasting impact of slavery, and strengthen the connection between Ghana and the African diaspora.

For A²MEND, this work is deeply connected to our mission. Education is not only about where we are going. It is also about understanding where we come from and using that knowledge to build stronger communities and future generations.

We remember. We reconnect. We build forward.
