A healthy music scene should have room for everyone.
MAKE ROOM: The Importance of a Diverse and Inclusive Music Scene is a conversation about representation, access, inclusion and why creating space for more voices makes the entire music community stronger.
Featuring:
- Natalie Jurosky of Scranton Girls Rock
-@courtney_rude , co-owner of @strange_birds_nepa
We’ll talk about what it really means to build an inclusive scene, how venues, promoters and artists can create spaces where people genuinely feel welcome, and why simply saying “everyone is welcome” isn’t always enough.
This isn’t about checking boxes or being performative.
It’s about making sure more people have the opportunity to create, perform, organize, attend shows and be part of the community.
If you care about building a stronger, healthier and more welcoming NEPA music scene, come be part of the conversation.
