🎬 Fan (2016) Fan is an Indian psychological thriller directed by Maneesh Sharma, starring Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role. The story revolves around Gaurav Chandna, an obsessive fan from Delhi, and his idol, Bollywood superstar Aryan Khanna. Gaurav wins a local talent competition impersonating Aryan and travels to Mumbai to present the trophy to his icon on his birthday. However, when Sid Kapoor, a rival actor, publicly insults Aryan, Gaurav brutally beats Sid to extract an apology for his idol. Expecting praise, Gaurav is instead devastated when Aryan rejects his dangerous obsession, refuses to meet him, and hands him over to the police. Heartbroken and enraged, Gaurav swears revenge. He utilizes his striking physical resemblance to Aryan to orchestrate chaos across Europe and India, impersonating the actor to ruin his public reputation, career, and personal life. As the cat-and-mouse game escalates into a violent final confrontation in Delhi, Gaurav ultimately chooses to plunge to his death, leaving Aryan permanently scarred by the tragic consequences of fame.
