🇱🇷 Happy Flag Day, Liberia! 🇱🇷

On this day in 1847, Liberia’s red, white, and blue rose as a symbol of freedom, resilience, and identity. Today, we carry that same flag — and that same pride — into our diaspora communities right here in Pennsylvania.

To every Liberian young person building, learning, and leading abroad: this flag is yours too. Fly it high. 🌟

Happy Flag Day from LAP Youth & Young Adults Dept!

Možda je upravo u tome bila posebna čar njihove ljubavne priče. U tim spontanim trenucima kada su zaboravljali na kamere, ljude oko sebe i sve ono što ih je opterećivalo. ❤️

Neki trenuci prođu, ali njihova lepota ostane zauvek sačuvana. ❤️♾️

SOME MEN AREN’T TRAINING FOR A BETTER BODY. THEY’RE TRAINING TO KEEP THEIR HEAD ABOVE WATER. 👊

And that’s something not everyone understands.

For some of us, the gym is about far more than building muscle, losing body fat or looking good in the mirror.

It’s the one place where the noise stops.

Where the stress, the pressure, the disappointments and everything life throws at you can be put aside for an hour.

Especially as men get older.

We’ve all got battles we’re fighting that nobody knows about.

Relationships. Financial pressure. Loss. Regret. The weight of expectations.

And sometimes the hardest part isn’t lifting the weights.

It’s finding the strength to keep showing up when everything else feels like it’s falling apart.

Training won’t solve every problem in your life.

But it can give you the strength, structure and clarity to face them.

So next time you see a man training like his life depends on it…

Maybe it does.

Keep showing up. Keep fighting. Keep moving forward.

You never know what someone else is carrying. 💯

You can be eating healthy, training consistently and doing everything right… yet still struggle with a swollen, uncomfortable stomach 😔

And something I wish more women understood is that a distended tummy doesn’t automatically mean you’ve gained body fat, that your nutrition is poor… or that all your hard work has gone out the window!

There are so many things happening inside our bodies that can influence how we look and feel from one day to the next. LITERALLY!

Hormonal fluctuations, digestion, stress, food sensitivities and underlying health conditions can all play a role.

And sometimes, those things are completely outside our control.

For me personally, living with adenomyosis and endometriosis means abdominal swelling and discomfort can be part of my reality, even when I’m doing everything I can to look after myself.

As you can see in the photo above…

I have happy tummy days, and then I have painful, bad tummy days.

But one thing I’ve learned is that while I can’t always control what my body does .. I CAN control how I choose to support it.

And for me, nutrition and training are a big part of that.

I’ve become much more mindful of how I train, how I recover and what foods I eat.

I’m also much more intentional about supporting my digestion and gut health.

Not because I believe food can cure every underlying issue, but because making the right adjustments can sometimes help alleviate symptoms and make everyday life a little more comfortable.

Because nutrition isn’t just about losing body fat or building muscle. It’s also about how you FEEL.

I’ve tried many diets in my time, and that’s one of the reasons I teamed up with my partner to build our nutrition coaching app Meal Engine.

I don’t believe there’s a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to nutrition.

And that’s something we’ve taken into consideration when developing our approach to nutrition coaching.

Because what works for one person might not work for another.

We all have different goals, lifestyles, preferences and nutritional needs.

So, we created an adaptive coaching app that can create a custom plan specifically for YOU 🫶
