2 months agoWhen I finish watching one of these videos I wonder, “what does it all amount to?” Have fun in Blighty. See you next year bruvvah!
2 months agoIt always feels strangely existential at the end of a peak creative output. Doesn’t it? I have come to realize It’s the experience of the thing: how others shared in it, the transmission of ( human!) art from seed to flower, to bee. Art is a way to pollinate each others souls with ideas. Art changes us for the better and you, Martin, are one of the most surreal and thoughtful gardeners.
2 months agoI loved both your shows. Forbidden City was the highlight of my Fringing experience. I saw it twice.
2 months agoHey, I’m in London from August 30 to September 19. I’ll be doing six Einstein shows at the playground theater in Kensington September 8 through the 13th. Are you gonna be around?
2 months agoThanks Martin for two great shows, but equally so your mid-week post about the building of Forbidden City as you have moved through the festival circuit. It came at a time where we had a less than glowing review - but your post put a lot of that in a whole new light. 👏
2 months agoA wise fella wrote that “we are sculptor sculpting future sculptors”- maybe just as true for parents as playwrights? Thank you again for two awesome shows this year. See you next fall!
