As a casual 'older' viewer of the BTCC, my interest was really stirred by Jason coming back into the fray because of his passion and great success as a driver. And I think it is a huge error to dispense with his services. Not just for his team but for the BTCC. Afraid I'm out as well..

It's dead simple: Plato delivered a winning team. Everything else is noise.

BTCC is not commercially viable enough compared to Supercars and DTM. It’s really time for new regulations. The NGTC cars have have had their day. BTCC needs to start looking ahead to the future.

Jason went into this long term, minimum 5 year plan, the initial start up costs and finance for the first year was always going to be higher than the following 4. It was probably going to balance out, especially with the results. Gives you leeway to get other sponsors in to increase revenue. But even my boss and friends said there wasnt enough Merchandise when you got to the track. So maybe supply issues were a problem that end. Or underestimated that side of the business to help fun things. Who knows. Just seems short sighted to boot him after a year.
