For the past two plus years I’ve been working on a portrait series of artists I like, and other faces. Yayoi is/was one of them. We shared an interest in dots, hahaha. It sounds silly and maybe that’s the point. This piece is still being worked on and will take on a different feeling for me now that she has passed away. She was big and colourful and full of whimsy, well to me. A life lived in art. Beautiful.
