After having several traumatic experiences in the neonatal intensive care unit, Terry Berggren began cuddling NICU babies at HCA Healthcare’s Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Dr. Rob Holcomb, a neonatologist and medical director at the hospital, describes the β€œgentle, nurturing touch” from volunteers like Berggren as an β€œintegral and intricate part” of how they care for their NICU patients.
