The title of Ultimate Survivor has followed #JennylynMercado well beyond her time on “StarStruck.” It’s a distinction now often tied to the personal chapters of her life, though she has never quite felt it was hers alone to claim. Having had to stand on her own from a young age, @mercadojenny has gained a clearer sense of what strength means and what matters most to her. For Preview’s November 2026 cover, she reflects on the experiences that brought her here and the convictions she stands by. Nice Uber @willmac.7 Finally home. 45 days stay c/o ward C9 Addenbrookes. The journey to recovery is vicious and feels like walking through set concrete. Yes it feels impossible. But Wills home. The first 100 days post transplant are known as the acute recovery phase. Will remains in isolation at home (Think COVID procedures) until the 100th day when the biologically matured cells start to work their magic. !January 9th! September 15th 2025 - October 30th 2026. Will has endured 410 days of absolute terror, pain beyond comprehension, during the stem cell transplant the rapid response team were called twice. Imagine being scared for your life and every person apart from immediate family are strangers every “ground hog” day. Will is breathless after walking 20 steps. (Low red blood cells) Feels nauseous constantly. Pain in every bit of his body, Recovery from Chemo is slow as his new cells are yet to mature. Recovering from bed sores. Muscle spasms, cramp. Weaning off heavy meds. Every hour is a teeny tiny step towards a future. This is Will Mac. !The strongest Man! #strongestman #teamwill37 #stemcelltransplant #anthonynolan #imri @cambridge_alumni
