✨SCRIPTURE of the WEEK✨
In this verse, the people of God (Israelites) had just finished rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, but they were also rebuilding their relationship with God. As they realized how far they had strayed, they began to weep. But Nehemiah reminded them, “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”
In college, there are so many things that can pull us away from God. We may look back on mistakes, circumstances, or seasons that caused us pain and distance from Him. But God does not want us to remain in grief over our past. There is joy in knowing that we can always return to Him.
Our weekly reminder: Don’t let the sorrow of where you’ve been overshadow the joy of being restored to God. There is strength in returning to Him and continuing in His will.
