The barber shops I encountered when travelling to Algeria this summer.
For many people, it’s a safe place to meet a friend, laugh, exchange stories, cookies, and hardships of life. It’s a wellness hub, where you come as you are, and leave with a neater coif.
I had a chance to meet some during my short stay in Tlemcen, Constantine and Nedroma. When I was in Tlemcen, the guy even gave me some of his old equipment belonging to his father, since I was so into it. Praying that he continues this venture for a long time!
