It's always a good idea to have a healthy skepticism for science-based fitness. But that is especially true when they are telling you that there is no difference between two things or no advantage to one thing over another because the tools they most commonly use are explicitly not designed to draw the conclusion that there's no difference between two things. Now if they tell us that something does make a difference when the bros don't think it does, then id at least want to hear the argument, because at least that's something their experiments should in theory provide evidence for. But when the bro consensus say something matters and the science guys says it doesn't you can safely disregard them. Why does a calorie surplus help intermediate and advanced lifters build muscle? I have no idea, mechanistically, and that's what trips up the science guys, there's no mechanistic reason why the body couldn't use stored energy and still build muscle at maintainence. But if we look at it from an evolutionarily perspective, what problem was the body's increasing resistance to adding muscle designed to solve it becomes obvious. Its designed to balance the demands of the environment for strength with not becoming to energy hungry. What's the best way to shift that calculus? Show there's plenty of food available by eating!

To everyone who thinks trans women are just gay men… surprise! 💋 I'm a trans woman, out with my girlfriend. Not the gay you thought I'd be. 😘🏳️‍⚧️ Back at the stadium to cheer on our home favourite, Kouamé! 😍😍🇫🇷 Not the most exciting match to watch, but who cares?! HE MADE IT TO THE FINAL!! 🏆🔥🙌 So proud! What a moment, and even better in great company! ❤️🥂 📍Brest Open 🎾
We have two very disgruntled boys at Umani Springs. Everyone is besotted with newborn Mwezi — everyone, that is, except Lenny and Zigi. They resent the tiny girl who, in their minds, arrived unannounced and stole the position of most precious baby of the herd. The other day, the boys found their opportunity for revenge. They patiently waited until mud bath, during a rare moment in which Mwezi wasn’t surrounded by nannies. Lenny sidled over while Zigi tried to clamber atop the tiny baby. Murera and Mwana immediately spotted the little rogues and put an end to their nonsense. The next mud bath, seen here, the nannies made sure the pair of troublemakers were far away from Mwezi. Instead, they had to make do with causing nonsense amongst themselves — Zigi is atop Lenny, who is kicking up quite a fuss! — In case you missed the news: Exactly one week ago, Murera gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Every baby born to a rewilded orphan is a miracle, but that miracle is compounded for Murera.
