Big Tech is destroying nature for profit.

Google reportedly cut down 250,000 trees in Finland illegally to build a data centre, without carrying out the environmental impact assessment required by Finnish law.

Finnish authorities ordered Google to halt construction, but the damage has already been done. What was once a forest has been turned into a muddy field.

To make matters worse the site is filled with murky water that flows into the nearby river, raising concerns and potentially threatening wildlife.
