This is what my general setup for everyday design work looks like! Here’s a breakdown of what I use and for what:
•My computer setup features dual screens and I typically use it for anything using Photoshop or Illustrator, with my second screen being used specifically to keep up with emails, searching online for any non-AI fair use images, etc. Much of the color adjustments I do will normally be through Photoshop as well as any templating working or setting up mockups but I’ll also work on any art, flyers or logos if I’m going for any specific kind of texturing through the filter gallery.
•My iPad is typically used for everyday work with programs like Procreate. I’ll use it primarily for anything hand drawn (i.e. the Dolly Parton tribute design) which can range from general art to things like logos for bands. A lot of the color blending will be done through Procreate and I tend to do most flyers in Procreate as well. Through Procreate’s features, I’m able to save projects as PSD files for Photoshop in case I need to swap back and forth while working on a project. My iPad also is great for when I’m traveling or decide to work away from home at coffee shops.
And that’s essentially it! I’ll go into a further breakdown of each program I use soon, as well as start to post videos of how I work on things, tips when working with specific programs and more. Hit me up if you need any design work!
