The QUA Boutique Hotel is conceived as a contemporary intervention within the historic fabric of São Luís, Maranhão, creating a dialogue between contemporary architecture and the city’s rich cultural heritage.

With a minimalist, elegant, and timeless architectural language, the project combines simple and expressive materials such as steel, wood, and glass. Its volumetric composition is defined by a sequence of overlapping terraces and recessed volumes, creating depth, rhythm, and visual permeability along the façade.

A defining feature of the project is its abundant integration of vegetation into the architecture. Lush gardens, hanging plants, and planted terraces transform the façade into a vertical landscape, bringing nature, shade, and environmental comfort to the urban setting.

The contrast between the dark steel structure, warm wood surfaces, transparent glass, and vibrant greenery creates a sophisticated contemporary identity while maintaining a sensitive relationship with the surrounding historic buildings.
