This interview means a lot to me and I’m so grateful we could do it over tea at Oscar’s studio this July, ahead of his brilliant show, ‘Nightcrawling’, now on view at @james_fuentes_llc through October 10.

As Oscar notes apropos “Afterwards, aka: No rest for the wicked” (unpictured):

“The concept of this painting that I’m working on is: You leave the rave or warehouse. You go to someone’s house. You hang out for hours and hours on a bed. You’re chatting and hanging out. It’s a moment of respite and an example of how the warehouse is a state of mind.”
