You have grown into a smart, beautiful, funny, resourceful young woman who somehow always figures things out—even when the rest of us are still trying to find the instructions.

I love your quick wit, your big heart, and your ability to make me laugh when I least expect it. Watching you become the person you are today has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

Now that you’re officially 21, I suppose I have to stop reminding you that you’re not old enough for things. Although, as your mother, I reserve the right to continue giving unsolicited advice forever.
