While I was away at Covenant Festival, consuming the hearts of dead gods, Brian Foss stepped behind the turntables and opened up another grave on Seek & Destroy.

Brian brought a heavy dose of classic metal this week, moving freely through heavy, speed, thrash, power, black metal and everything around those borders, with plenty of deep cuts tucked in along the way. There are some familiar monsters in the mix, but also a lot of material that rarely gets the spotlight. X-Tinxion, Atakke, Renegade, Wench, Battlefield and 5grs all make appearances alongside the usual giants.

Great riffs, hidden alleys, and no shortage of teeth. My thanks to Brian and Sonic Reducer on KEXP for covering for me.

Seek & Destroy airs every Saturday night from Midnight-2am PT on 90.3 FM Seattle, 92.7 FM Bay Area, and streams worldwide, on demand anytime through KEXP.org and the KEXP mobile app.
