Blackout Orchestra

One of the only things I might love more than making music with these cats is seeing them play in one of their other iterations. Sometimes, like THIS FRIDAY, I get to do both. I could not be more thrilled. I think you should be there. I think we should hang. I think we should fall in love with live music over and over again. I think we should use gatherings like this to build communities of care and encouragement and mutual aid. We should find our people at local shows and then start book clubs and collaborate on zines and start noise bands and make weird art projects together and get inspired by each other. I think we should remind people what joy looks like.

Incidentally, I think i somehow stumbled into starting to write the next Blackout Orchestra record. Given my current immersion in hyperpop, alt-pop and EDM on one hand, and having this dynamic, atmospheric and muscular live band on the other, i think the results will likely be appropriately weird. Can't wait to find out what it all turns into. Anyway, we're months away from the destination, but the ship has definitely left the harbour.
