In November last year I posted that the original plaque in Dalston - put up by Blue Plaque Rebellion - had disappeared, so thank you to all involved in replacing it and making sure Dorothy Levitt’s Hackney roots are not forgotten. She broke speed records and long distance records in cars and boats. She wrote a motoring manual for women and invented the rear view mirror. A star. She is in book 1 of Women from Hackney’s History.
